hey guys. i have seen some adverts on changing ur sr engine into a 2.2 ltr. what is ur opinion on the thing. acceleration?? torque?? power????

if you're putting an sr into any datsun, you'd think thatd be enough. They are damn expensive and you can use that money elsewhere. Its really not going to need any more power

trust do a kit as do tomei i think and a couple of other japanese aftermarket manufacturers.

They increase the stroke and bore and for all intensive purposes, it has not been overly successful with drag racing or drifiting due to longer stroke to rpm.

You get more low down but they dont rev as high. you would be better off with a stock set up with more after market goodies with increased boost and the gtir solid lifter/rocker arm set up.

talk about a waste of money, time.

Get a qr25de and be done with it.
