out of what I count as 14 Hitachi carbs,
2 round tops, (L series manifold)
1 pair have what looks to be factory block off plates for the air bypass,
4 missing needles,
3 A series manifolds,
one looks to be early casting, the other two are similar, but a different threaded bosses here and there,

I managed to make 1 complete set of linkages out of the lot,

looks like the rest have been modded from L series gear, or there's bits missing, welded on wired up or just general dodgeyness...

not sure what factory GX manifold or linkages look like, I assume the ports are bigger and raised somewhat,

so what really had twins...
from the tech section, the A14t manifold looked different again..

the mind boggles...

Hey just leave the fuel delivery to us playstation generation. EFI can be tuned on the fly. Also my EDIS programmable ignition is FAR superior to any dizzy. You can program it to put any advance at any load at any revvs. Lets see a dizzy do that.

Ignition aside yes you can tune a carb to perform as well as EFI. But a well tuned sequential ignition will get far better economy than any carb. and can be programmed while driving to be in performance mode giving more power than economy.

My car is going in that direction. I want a switch that I can put the car into economy mode for daily and a switch to go into drag racing mode. you can only do that with EFI and electronic ignition.

And of course we will overlook the fact that the EMP that kills the electrics that make the EFI work, will also kill the ignition.
Just a mere triviality
When the EMP hits, the only thing driveable will be hand cranked diesels, or diesel powered vehicles with manual trans that get parked nose down on hills.
