as for the diff conversion we can do most of it ourselves exept the axels, we plan to get the car setup for bigger and better things now while it will be striped down so it dsnt have to be done later, its just gunna save time later on and it was for free

r31 diff will make car slower and heavier
until you start blowing up datto diffs save your money
spend it on a brake upgrade or new steering/suspension parts

if as he said he is getting that work done now so it wont need to be done later, let him...yea it might be too heavy atm for a NA a series but what the hell let him do it he wont be driving for at least another 4-5yrs so its all good experience and at least he will know NOT to thrash the car like so many young people do these days - damn i sound old.." all these young people" i'm only 26 not THAT old hahaha oh well!

We live in east devonport

thanks for the advice dazza, but as we said in the last post we are doing the whole build in 1 go (apart from le engine) as the ute will be stripped bare, the rear 1/4 panels are coming off, as is the ute tub and rear chassis will be strengthend in case i decide to go for bigger power (maybe a sr 20) when i get my full liscence

We are looking at a steering weel on ebay (its nice) at the moment, just getting stuff bit by bit as my pocket money will allow, hopefully it wont get to high

Will keep on whith updates as we go thanks for all the kind words and advice
