Front wheel bearings

mine are rather ####ty.

so im going to replace them.

are they generic? or are they model/strut specific?
if they are model specific. does anyone have a part number?

I recently ordered them based on the model the struts came out of E.g Datsun sunny front

cool. the disk brake struts aren't different to drum brake struts are they?

Probably would. So just order them for what you have in your vehicle. If there standard your right if not then be good if you knew what the struts came out of. Year model and body type etc..

when u hook them out thy have a number stamped on the sides.. there's inner and outers so gert both, and seals,

not sure on your bearing suppliers, we have cbc and statewide here, one was half the price of the other, for better bearings.. go figure..

1200 (Drum and disc) and 120y all have the same smaller wheel bearing.

I put new bearings and seals on my 120y struts the other month. Pull the old ones out, they have the part number on the sides of them. At least if you physically get the number off the current ones you are going to get the correct ones!!

They are sold as a cup and cone together. As they are small and therefore are cheap, and my local bearing place had them instock so they must be common.

for the front 1200&120y to 1975
uses kit 2841 after 1975 they use kit 2842

the bigger datto struts are the same bearings as holden q-z commo and ford xb -xg and heaps of others. it surprised me how about 10 bearings cover 75% of cars

i cant help it. i read part nos out of catalogs.
