#1 WTB: CA18DET (any help appreciated)
Datwags Posted on: 2009/1/29 7:14
Hey everyone,

Looking to get started on a CA conversion to my Wagon.
Finding it harder than I originally thought to get a CA18DET engine, preferably in Adelaide.
I'm after the whole lot, with engine, gearbox, wiring, computer, etc.

If anyone can help me out it'd be much appreciated. Also, if anyone has any other parts that might be useful (brake upgrades, struts, etc) shoot me a PM.

Thanks - Tim

from personal experience if i was doing another ca conversion i would buy a half cut, simply because you'll know where all the hoses go eg, water n vacuum lines, everything is there you need apart from aftermarket stuff

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll check out nissansilvia forum.
I would definitely prefer a halfcut for sure, but I'm not having much luck finding one for a decent price. I've tried heaps of places.
Any suggestions of places that might stock them?
Cheers

Here are a few places to ask,

Grand Auto (08) 8382 6066
Japanese Motorsport (08) 8369 0037
Adelaide Jap Imports (08) 8369 1899

I got mine from Grand Auto.......... paid an arm and a leg for it, but got to hear it running and see it when it was still in the car.
Good luck with ya search mate
