if its been dented in fairly bad then id say the steel would have been stretched so would have to be shrinked otherwise you will never get it back to perfect
and another thing is be carefull if you take it to a panel beaters as mst these days dont really n to much due to most of the work they do is just replace panels and fix small dents
true panel beating is sadly a dieing trade

I am no expert at panel beating. My last project was so well kept that I wasn;t ever put in that position.

However, when I did get stuck on something I always, ALWAYS found something else to do that I was capable of doing so that I was always progressing. When the tool/machinery/helping hands were available I would go back to the problem and fix it later.

Surely there must be heaps of work left to do on it?

all front panels are in primer aswell as the roof, boot, engine bay and inside of where the doors go. the doors are nearly done. just the seals and 1/4's

What a crock of S@#t datto1000wagon There are still plenty of good panel beaters around but my point would be your taking away the joy of knowing you did it yourself. Hang in there mate when ya feel its pretty close hit it with primer and a couple of coats of Spray putty then guide coat it then dry block it with 120 quick scuff with 180 couple more coats of primer filler guide coat again and youll be sweet. Sounds simple maybe but i guess near 20 years of doin body work helps. If ya want some help or get stuck PM Me i'll give ya me number and talk ya through a few things ive learned which you may or may not know..

What about the engine? What are your plans?

So has she been rubbed down ready for first coat? I went down to 600 grit on my 2 door in PNG, you need to get that base nice and smooth with no imperfections.
