wow, sounds like Australia is having a very bad new year. Sorry to hear about all the fires and floods recently. 200+ people is really a tragedy.

Are people really restarting these apocalyptic wildfires once there out? What the hell.

that's sad.

Condolences to every body whose lost a loved one, be them man, woman or datsun.

This is a terrible time for Victoria. The devistation is beyond belief. So many lives lost and homes destroyed. We have friends that we have not been able to locate in these areas and hope that they are safe.
Too tragic.

Cheers
Mark

well not having much $$$ (i donated some that i had) have volunteered to do some work stuff for the effort to help the victims.
If you can do something i figure it helps, some fight fires, some give food and water some give their time, some build shelters etc.

at last count i heard 1033 homes destroyed and 178+ lives lost. Sad thing is there are still areas that have not yet been reachable to look through the rubble for desceased persons.

And on Today Tonight they had 1 guy who caught one of the people relighting the fires on his digital camera you can see the flame..then he chased him got a description AND a motorcycle rego number i hope they catch this bastard..and i have no sympathy for what these people will do to him.

My choice of punishment would be Death BUT let them be burnt alive the way so many others have perished.

edit: i picked up stuff from my work today and with only 1 days notice, my work ( Aus Post - Seven hills Delivery Centre) had collected 2 ULD's worth of clothing food toiletries pet supplies and i struggled to get it all in my car - i only just got it in.

The Sportsmans Hotel in Blacktown have heaps from their staff - couldnt get it all in the car

A.D. Car Care Kellyville/ Kenthurst donated towels clothes toys shoes that got picked up yesterday

Luke taking all the cot and bassinet stuff we have, and i put in some books both childrens and also some novels for the adults, i made up a box of toiltries - toothbrushes soap shampoo conditioner deoderant moisteriser baby moisteriserbody wash and for some lucky people i have put in some jewlerry that i bought and also some make up - anything.

in 3 weeks another truck will be leaving RAAF base Richmond ( actually pick up is at Freemens reach) for furniture

some of the posties i work with are wanting to send some fridges and stuff, my mum has a set of bunks and a single bed and also a tv.

Everything must be workingif people send furnture - regardless of where you take it to for delivery to VIC.

Whether you can send a bunch of stuff or just a few dollars - doesnt have to be much 1 or 2 dollars counts - might seem like nothing great but it all helps.

also our 7yr old daughter just had a good idea - they will need coat hangers for the clothes

I was glad to hear everyone here was OK but this is totally gutting............what they need to do to the SOB's that caused this is light them on fire, put them out, send them to the burn unit for numerous skin grafts, then after 2 years.......light them on fire again. It's hard to fathom what sort of sociopath would do this.

i change my thoughts on their punishment - the firebugs that is - leave them in the hands of the communities who have lost everything - let them deal with them their way - if they live they are damn lucky if they die so be it

Thanks to the parasites there are prob 2million native animals that have been murdered.
A very good time to donate to wildlife rescue australia , whittlesea animal hospital, healesville sanctuary and others.
Natures casualties

They should introduce the death penalty like Japan has for arse-o-nists it will quickly curve these maggots

Here is one fortunate enough to be looked after before the fires when the heatwave started.
