yeh that road can be a bit dangerous at night.
i whent on a cruise last weekend with thezgarage.com and and the ndcc club through that way it was a awsom drive we ended up in tenunda

i displayed, quite well mind you, what not to do on a cruise lol. at semaphore as we were leaving i snapped a throttle cable so we all pulled together and modified the choke cable so i could use it as a throttle lol. im sure someone will post pics
