yeah atleast that much, if you have a h145 and h165 to look at its just the difference in distance between the centre line of the diff to the pinion flange

Yes, the snout of the H165 is longer. So the driveshaft is that much shorter.

i recently got my h145 shalft shortend to fit in my h165 diff couldnt work out y the ride was so stiff

1200 h145 and h165s have a different yoke though, so a 1200 h145 tailshaft wont bolt onto a h165
