RE rugby..We were asleep, I was embarrassed. But NZ played very well.
What was the score the night before..I'm mostly a Rugby League supporter..being from Sydney and all.

ps. That's why Queenstown is full of extreme sports...nothing else is dangerous there..except for me on the ski fields maybe..

Okay, you Aussies may have the most lethal spider in the world, the Funnel Web, but the Southeast U.S. has got the infamous Brown Recluse.

The Brown Recluse may not kill you, but if you're allergic to it's venom, it might take a limb or appendage.

Yeah----Me and Mikalis dog would have been a good double.

I heard rumors that a few years ago, some studes from ANU held the World Spider Eating Championship. How drunk would you have to be to pick a spider up much less eat it?

Before I go near the 1200 again, I'm gonna get 3 tins of Black Flag and go over the whole car. Spiders do NOT like chemical warfare and when it comes to spiders there are no rules.

I wasn't going to mention this cause I know how bad the aussies have it when it comes to spiders. ............I have killed exactly 11 big ass black widows on my property in the last week & a half. They more than likely came in on the two sedans I recently bought. I knew @ the time, from experience, I should have stopped @ the car wash first. When you get a new ride, decontaminate it first! Grab a can of black flag, drop Black Flag - Damaged in the CD player & pretend the arachnids are Usama. One ended up just outside my open front door, one foot from my black sandals. When I think what 5 more minutes could have meant.............WHERE"S MY BLACK FLAG!!!!! He'be je'bes!

About a year ago, I remember this news from TV, a woman got bitten by some "brown "spider, not even a black widow, and she lost her limbs!
I,m going to bomb the place(with foggers, not dynomite) , to kill any mean aracnids lurking in the shadows at home, and about the cars, it's crazy, I had the wrong impression that a daily driver can not provide a confortable , food and elements, enviroment for any animal/insect, hell I was wrong, that crazo Black widow had an array of food in that web(under my car), all kinds of goodies in storage, bugs, flies, worms, and it has been living there for a few months, because now I remember once visiting a friend, and while having a beer, he said, what is that #### over there, wash your car Jaime!!!! I said, nah!, that is just road kill, it is nothing, and I got the web hanging off from under the car(at the rear spring shackle)and pulled it off, only to see web hanging from the rear since ever, crazo widow, mean spider, it was waiting for a chance to get at me, I got her probably all stoned after feeding up on all those unfortunate bugs stored in her web, sleepy, and , after all this lurking in the shadows, she lost the battle, ended up in the toilet, von voyaje! black widow, I do not want to ever see you again!!!!!!!!!!!!

One time I was working on my Buick after it had been sitting for a few weeks in a totally open, large, dry, paved and busy parking lot. I noticed a funky web under the car, but thought it was old. Towed the car to the auto hobby shop and worked on it all day after I just tore down this thick web...in the same area the web was I was putting my hands up in there blindly, not thinking anything of it. The next morning I came back to finish up and noticed the web was remade and attached to the ground. I got the most uneasy feeling just then about my working in that area ALL day earlier and not thinking anything still lived in that web. I grabbed a drop light and looked around....sure enough I see a female black widow guarding an eggsack kinda hidden in the shade of the motor mount. First I tried squishing it w/screwdriver, but couldn't get it, so I took a can of carburetor cleaner and a lighter and torched her ass flamethrower style. That caused her to fall on the floor and "play" dead. I continued to torch it cause I was pissed off and freaked out how that could've gotten me all day and I wouldn't even have known it. Even though I burnt the crap out of it, it was still alive, so I finally squished it....I hate spiders...snakes too, but they're more fun.

-Andy

I'm pleased to see that our American Colleagues have entirely the right idea when it comes to spiders---use any and all WMD available. Snakes are not nearly as bad cos they're bigger and can't hide where spiders can.
Kill, I say, shred tear rip bomb and burn. There is only one allowable outcome for spiders.

(I am NOT paranoid!!!)

Good one Jaime.

You've managed to float all those stone age fears about spiders to the surface and caused a bit of sunshine to be blown round.

All that said, I still don't like bloody spiders
