With a bit of home work you can build a ripper of an A-series based on std factory parts.

flat tops from a A10
sports cam from A12 GX
larger diameter valves from A15
double valve springs from GX spec head.
A14 crank in A12 block...
electronic distributor etc etc

the possibilities are very good with these little engines.

Do the rules state that the carb must be a asynchronous downdaught carb. If not I would be using the factory twin hitachi [SU type] carbs.

I would be very interested to read these rules.

I assume we are talking speedway rules here.
I remember some time back someone else was asking similar questions.
If memory serves the speedway folk don't seem to recognise(or want to)any of the factory GX stuff....frustrating

is the KB 10 twin outlet exhaust manifold any good as an improvement to bigger a series, is it an improvement on an a14 standard manifold for example. I have a couple.

The KB10 ones don't exhaust nearly as well as the GX ones.

It was on a stocker A10 with a touch more compression. It may be slightly beneficial on a stock larger A-series but I wouldn't consider it as a substitue for a GX manifold.

dad-sun,
like clyons said, its what i suspected, the KB10 twin outlet is a nice sounding rev-happy improvement on an A10 but wouldnt gain much on a bigger a series,
I can see u want your lad to be ultra competetive and good on u thats what i like to see, so search round a bit more for a gx item, get back to me if nothing turns up.
