Thats from the oil feed to the head. It's the middle one on the right side of the engine.

Yep (intake/exaust side) - it's the bolt with a "T" on it in this pic.

I just noticed that I don't have any locating dowels... I cant recall pulling any out...
Do the A12's have them?

No dowels, but there are locating 'rings' at front and rear of manifold side. You can see one of them in this picture:

Rightio, it looks as if I have found one... Would it be dodgy if I made another up out of copper pipe, the water pipe stuff?
It could corrode but I doubt i'll ever have this head off again, I'd be getting a "Big Block" A15 or an L series if the head ever went again...
