As stated the B310 has always had coils all round as far as i know.

I fitted Stanza brakes onto mine for a bit more power. Swapped the struts L to R (caliper at front) with a larger master cylinder, Zed item i think..? Seemed to work pretty well. No idea what diff though, never seemed to break one so it never got upgraded.
The 15's (TRX) fitted no problems so may be a rim issue rather than struts?!?

they did come out here with springs....and the ones i have seen all the 81 models have had this. so i have never seen the coils before and was just wondering what the deal is. as for the front suspension the hub flares out 75mm and the whole on the rim is 65 so i will grin the hub down a bit as where it is flared will not matter if it is flat or not. thats all that is stopping them going on but will probably replace them anway to upgrade the suspension and do the brakes as well though the brakes are pretty good

Hey, you could be right! Not calling you a liar..
Just that i have had a 79, 80 & 81. Dad & a mate both had 80 wagons & sister had an 80 sedan - all coils
Was it a van by any chance with windows? They may have had leaf springs for load rating..?

What are your plans for this Sunny?

my old one was an 1981 sunny sedan GL was in great nick, except the motor. Just dont know why i had leafs and not coils. And fixing the body up and then paint it dark metallic blue, then redo the interior from scratch and then when i get some funds put an a15 possibly turbo but might not...still thinkin at this stage about the motor. But for now the tired a12 will stay in there as it is still workin. Plus all the usuall upgrades here and there and lower a bit

All 4 of my B310 Sunnys have H150's with coils and 4 bars.

My Jap assembled B310 wagon has a leaf rear end H150.

Your sedan may have been the recipient of a wagon donor.

no it wasnt because my old sunny was the family sunny that my great grand father bought brand new and went down the line to me and had never been modified or changed...itt was completely original with 1 spec of surface rust on the bonnet but other then that it was smick...that was till i killed the engine and gear box

OK I've been researching the B310 parts catalogs, here's the story with wagon suspension:

V: Van - leaf springs
W: Wagon - coil spring

W is the sweepback/slant back wagon (4-dr)
V is the squareback wagon (2-dr or 4-dr)
