Let me get this clear, I bought this motor in a VB10 nine years ago, I have never run it at the strip, The previous owner was, and still is a hard core drag racer. He used to run it on avgas, M/T slicks, and welded dif. It was pulling 8500 through the traps (he was putting a new/secondhand motor every six months)
He went through 9 std diffs and 14 std gear boxes.

The dissy is a std. jdm `lectronic A15 unit ,fully locked up (no vacuum adv. /no mech. adv.)

She is VERY laggy, it starts making boost around 3500 and doesnt make full boost till about 5000. But that doesnt worry me too much as the extra cubes from the "big block" give it plenty of go off boost. and it doesnt use too much fuel (off boost) 9lt/100k.

When it comes to running water injection You just go past it when it comes to detonation control under high boost.
The only drawback is that as it is slowing the combustion process it also knocks the hell out of your power (opposed to no water inj.)
I`v found bringing it in about 20 psi is the best setup for me, When it gets to 25 psi the water/meth. is going full song and it can the hold 30 psi (+)
I run a very crude water inj. setup, It consists of a w/wiper washer and some garden irigation fittings triggered by a hobbs switch. The "jet" itself is just the end of the 1mm id copper tube bent to flow into the middle of the carb.

Thanks mate. Can you tell me what your advance figure is? After cooking one of my engines, I locked my dizzy. On my next motor, I'm going to run it locked, and then make water injection, to try and increase my advance. With an S/C14 on an A14, I couldn't run more than 22.5'.

To be honest with you dude, I have NEVER touched the dissy, But how about this,
ill go out now and put my T/Light on her and let you know.
