I had a worked? A14 in a previous 1200 ute that I had (actually the yellow one in my avaiator) anyways... I have no idea what was done to it engine wise but it had a big cam in it and a webber, and it had 79HP at the treads (Was either 69 or 79HP, would say 79 cos id def remember if it was 69) so yeah the 135 you have sounds great!

I wouldnt think you'd loose too much through the drive train. 100HP sounds achievable... I guess time will tell

I think the loss is about 25% and then if you hav a toyota box or a biger diff or anything like that the loss will be greater.

Max power doesnt mean much on the street Most high powered A series are a pig to drive Quite a few Datto owners have had full works A series and prefer mildly worked ones in the end. Be careful what you ask for. Best something with big midrange torque that doesnt bog down or needs to get the crap flogged out of it to go somewhere.

I agree with D, my old mans dirt track A14 had around 100hp at the wheels ( I say around because some dynos are more "generous" than others ) and it would only come on song at big revs. If some tool in front of you couldn't drive and chopped you off it would take half a lap to get it flowing again.

yeah at low revs it is a dog and a prick to drive ecpessialy in shopping centres or servos when ur putting around in first it just wonts to hop on you or stall having a brass button clutch probly doesnt help and soon to be locked diff but the 4 speed box takes the punishment ok so far, but 4g upwards it runs like a dream and wonts to keep reving see if a good tune can fix the problems only got to last about 6 months and it will be converted to a ca18det.
