hey sach why not chuck i an A14 or 15 for an easy swap. with some webbers and exhaust and a bit o' cam work.

and as for the cruise if you can get a hold of another car grab it and come down anyway. mines in a shed so i'm bringing my daily

Sach, replacing a blown head gasket is fairly easy, takes 2 hours up to 1/2 day to fix. Usually with an A-engine you won't even need to machine the head. reference: Tech Section Changing Head Gasket

Thanks I've already checked it out after it blew last week,
I was considering an engine and transmission out of the local trading post and putting the whole lot in because 3rd is a grinding and the clutch is almost out of grab, kill 3 birds with one stone then. Then can fix up the nissan A12 at my leasure. Hmm $till waiting on the funds to make it stop before I wanna make it go any faster (drums all round and a single master cylinder is not my idea of safe brakes cappice?), I grabbed the upgrade article (laser KC discs onto a 1000) so it's on the list.
If I can do the swap on Saurday I may make it to the cruze otherwise I look forward to the next one.
