If the main intent is to collect a donation for the Branco's, i'm willing to donate directly, But a while ago we contacted them in regards to doing paid sponsership or advertising on the site, they said thanks, but not at this time.

I feel your frustration Steveo. While the main NZ datto site was down, (Like for 8 friggan months! ) One of the local boys started a new one. (Which caused all kinds of ructions lol) Once we're incorperated, the club coffers will likely fund the running of that site. People who have had involvement with other car clubs, (Both inc, and non inc) have all said that there is something about our group that is different to all the rest.
Although we aren't just 1200's, so thats a head start right there.

All I want to know is, If we get a national Dat Assoc off the ground; Will I get a T Shirt. That alone will sell it to me

Don't forget the stubbie holders too

That is the idea, i am hoping to get a shirt, stubbie holder and a datsun1200.com sticker and also a percentage of the fee would be a donation to the site owners for the site upkeep, but it'll only work if there is enough interest for people to join.

i'll keep everyone posted.

If we're talking $30-$50 I think I could handle that, for a tshirt, stubby, sticker and donation. I think we might need a new T shirt design though...

ill be in that... and organize some cruises and shows amongst us too...would be good

i've sent danielblues a few emails and i got a reply from him today and he's all for the idea, he's got some things in the pipeline that will be coming up in the next month or two.

I was looking at around $50-$60 for membership but i wont know foresure until i hear back about the merchandise. Organising cruises and 'meet and greet' events sounds like a good idea, and i'll definatly look in to it if all this goes ahead!

Any other ideas don't hesitate to suggest them!
