Im looking at putting a hilux diff under my ca18 1200 sedan. Will the standard drum brakes off of a ute fit on???? If not what brake set up will fit ???

how about the hilux brakes??
i looked under my house mates and his brakes seem alot bigger than a 1200

Na the drums are 15" they won't fit in 15" rims

15 inch drums? didnt know there were any 20 ton trucks running hilux diffs lol

hiluxs have 14s or 15s on them stock so the drums cant be too big, think ange had 13 inch steel rims on his hilux diff for the drags

I have one at home I can check. RN40 SR5 Hilux. I plan to use this diff in an SR20 conversion I will be starting soon so if anyone knows if they iz good for dattos pls do tell

I have a 89 toyota pickup here in the states. it has the 7.5 inch diff with 5 lug yes with drums. it came stock with 14s I have a rb20det in it actually. I put 410 gears in it and rear end seems pretty stout. the rear end housing will need to be narrowed I would think.

Are you keeping 5 stud Toyota or redrilling/new 4 stud axles,if so r31/s13 discs & calipers probably the go.
