I am going to replace the steering wheel on the 1200 I aquired because I have a "universal" leather wrapped wheel and the one that is on the car is destroyed by sunlight. I am having trouble finding an adaptor hub though. I am wondering if the 240z's and 510's and all the other datsuns from that time period have the same spline. Any help would be great
thanks
-Aron

hi mate

you can get then from most auto stores like supercheap or auto one,, auto barn etc

and i think what you have to ask for is a boss kit
they usualy come with a horn and set you back something like $95

hope this helps

I'll add my 2c.

The 1200 and 120Y steering wheels and bosses are exactly the same.
The 1000 wheels have the same spline but different PCD indicator (blinker) pins.

They are on ebay every now and then for $50-$120.
As there are no other cars with the same setup. I recommend to anyone looking for fix up their datsun to buy one ASAP before they become NLA.

I got mine from a 120Y wreck for $20.

Bosses only need a clean and don't wear out. So buying second had is not a big deal. I then bought a nice Nardi wheel and some tapered bolts to suit, and I'm very happy with the result.

Haha thanks, I didn't know that I'm sort of new to the whole Datsun scene so I'm still learning all the terminology. I was asking because there was a B210 at my local pull-a-part and the steering wheel is perfect. I just said what the heck and went back to get it. :)
