Its been a while since my last post so I thought I would give a quick update.
Im still making steady progress. We have been doing all the body repairs. Found rust in boot (where rubber sits), Passenger floor (where it meets the sill whole way along) and a tiny bit in rear screen. I got a mate down from mudgee who is a wiz on the welder and put him to work. Also repaired trans tunnel and filled wholes in guards. Been busy popping dents and taking back the crows feet to bare metal (roof). I also picked up my flywheel and right angle dizzy which I know a few of you are interested in. Ive got a bunch of pics and I will put them up soon.

I finally got my right angle dizzy. A few blokes have been asking questions about this so Ive got pics for everyone. As I said at the start of this thread, this was a straight drive dizzy and hit firewall. I didnt want to cut the wall and needed to use my original dizzy for engineering purposes. I got this machined up.

![]() I had to use the sierra flywheel which has heaps more wieght in it than the GTi fly wheel. I found out this makes them a tiny bit sluggish or not as responsive. I got it lightened big time, they took heaps out. ![]() I got these off ebay. They are RX7 s6 seats. Hope they fit, I havn't tryed them but they look sweet.

I got measurements and im sure they fit. They are a very narrow seat. You can still buy good stuff on ebay you just have to pay good money for it. These were $400 for the pair and 6 months looking for them. They were not a bargin but they go for $500 to $600 at import places for an ordinary pair. The pair I bought were as new and local. There cloth front and leather back and they recline.
