I recently replied to nicolas RE:" skimming of cylinder head ". I stuffed that one up!
Correct information but WRONG head! Please disregard the thumbprint & minimum machining info.

I called a good engine- reco buddy of mine, who is still in the trade,& the following info is spot-on.

STANDARD HEAD THICKNESS NISSAN A-SERIES:
a12(local) 73.990mm-74.090mm
a12(import)71.755mm-71.882mm
a14 & a15 74.143mm-74.295mm

NOTE: Minimum head thickness a12(local) 72.85mm.Therefore maximum machine tolerance is 1.25mm.Good engine shops follow this as rule of thumb (no punn intended)

My sincerest apologies to anyone who was confused,please forgive me! WON`T happen again.
