Im pretty sure weve figured out that everyone has there own opinions on what the best paint color is for a 1200. I liked black, others dont, but u have to make sure u pick the color
YOU like.

Hey nothing wrong with the old Chargers either! I love em! If i was ever to buy a V8, it would be a Charger for sure. It wouldnt be that pink color tho, origanal RT Charger orange with
black strips would be the go. Anyway, back to real cars.

Dattos rule.

I have a friend who's only ever susgestion for paint colors is nipple pink. We've never really worked out what nipple pink actually is as he has never painted anything but doesn't
it sound like a warm and fuzzy colour.

Davo! If i knew where you lived, i would come over and kick you in the head, hehe, j/k.

BUT
1) V8 chargers suck ass! only way to go is straight 6. Damn straight 6 beasts beat chryslers own v8's, they were just so damn good.
2) Your talking about the Colour 'Vitamin C'. They still use that colour on other mopars and shit.

I dont diss dattos, so you dont diss chargers. Sound fair? =)

Oh yeh, about getting back to 'real' cars....chargers are real.....datsuns are real....but those shitty pieces of plastic fabricated, .7 litre twin turboed, 5 metre spoiler,
6" exhaust, THEY ARE HUNKS OF SHIT! My datto can kane those japs piece's of crap anyday =)

I agree with you, Mareospeedwagon. I am restoring my 1973 1200 coupe body, no matter how well I do the body filler work, it still looks like crap when viewed under the first primer coat. I
am planning to buy another gallon of white Epoxy primer (costs about $48.00 a quart) and keep recoating and fine sanding until the "wrinkles" (Mostly on the hood and front fenders)are
almost non-existant before I put the 1989 Nissan brght red urethane enamel on it. I ve been on and off this board for about a year, but havent been participating as much as I have been
reading the messages.

Dude. I aint dissen chargers. Or am i? Saying i want a V8 Charger? Dont u worry, i know what the old 265's can do but it wouldnt compare if i shoved a hot 440 dodge V8 or strong 340 in
it. The 360's suck. The 265 is the best 6 ever built and it has proved that on the track, but i would rather cruise in a V8 Charger and race in a Datto 1200. Chargers arnt exactly race
cars no more. If i wanted a hemi 265, it would be in a Centura, something a bit lighter.

And yes, my datto will also kick all these Honda shit boxes and Mitsu crap. But Nissan on the other hand, kicks ass.

Feel free to knock my thoughts on Vals :)

440 Chrysler motors are not what all they are cracked up to be. I have seen too many 289 Falcons and Mustangs kick their asses. The 440 has a lot of torque but are too short on horsepower.
They pull a heavy car around real well but they just don't have it when it the tough get going. Carroll Shelby proved that the little quick and high revving 289 Ford motor was the machine to
beat. Very few cars in their stock factory form would run with the 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint with the high performance 289. Dan Gurney won the Indianapolis 500 with a stock block Ford motor.
The closest anyother stock block motor has ever done at Indy was Chevy took a 17th place and look what the little Ford motor did in F1 racing, 5 championships. Give me the high revving small
motors any day over the big cubic inched counterparts.

i think the 265 hemi is better than the 440 because of the weight ,revability, and power for the money, although a five hundred horsepower blown 440
would be fun

i also agree a rt charger orange datsun coupe would look hot to me. i know aguy with an immaculate rt and i think with nice paint, shined up oldstyle kidney wheels (like the chargers came
with) black bonnet, low stance, it may look hot(although ive never seen a 1200 done this way,so i may be wrong) it could be abig gamble ,but it would be different. but the real advice that id
have is to look in car yards ,wreckers, and on the street at diferent model cars, and use your immagination ,seeing the car in real light is the best indercatin because magazines never seem to
do justice to pain colour. a sunny day seems to be best because cars with pearls come alive. apart from that its all just personal....geeze this letters long and drawn out...oh
well...goodluck

If we're going to talk about Chrysler colors, I have to put in a vote for Plum Crazy. I also like the purple that Ford had a few years back on the Escort GT. The Ranger purple
is a little too lavender for my taste though. I'm sorry, am I going on and on about purple cars? Please don't shun me!

davo,

I agree nearly 100% with you. 265's are the best 6's made to date. Even the new Z3's cant keep up with them, sheeesh, and thats 30 years of technology they have on their side.

440 magnum's 'eh? See, now your changing the whole scheme of things =) 440's are american, and were never put in chargers. 340's are good. They had the right balance of weight
to power, but still couldnt keep up with the 265's.

You seem to know alot about vals? whys that?
Oh yeh, and centura's arent better than charger bodies. You'd think that putting a 265 in a centura would be the way to go, but it's not. Yes they are lighter, but the shorter
wheelbase and other things on the chargers made them way better on the track.

dattos and vals are both good, and thats that =)
