HOW TO SPOT A PHOTOSHOP IMAGE


There are several BASIC things to consider when it comes to suspect images. Lighting, Shadow and Reflections.

Lighting:

A good attempt, but the reflected light off the vehicle (Silvia) simply does not match the surrounding diffuse lighting. The position and illuminance of the first individual person gives it away.

Shadow:

I would suspect that the original photo was that of the 180B. The shadow cast by the bull-bar is genuine. Too complex to create in PS maintaining that slow fading of the bitumen.

The darker shadow cast under the Silvia is much stronger and at a completely different angle.

Reflections:

There are two individuals reflected on the rear of the car standing closer than the individuals in the actual picture.

There is no reflection of the adjacent car which is quite close.

AND The Obvious.

The corners of the two front Guards meet too sharp with the pillars of the Silvia, the lines are so crisp they are obviously a digital cut.

I also thought that the door of the Silvia was just that little bit longer.

The front left wheel has that tiny bit of excess shadow that gives it away.

The angles of the vehicles are different.

I can’t decide whether the cars are shot at the same scene though.

Great effort though.

I like it. Especially the bull-bar.......(awkward silence)....

Looks like a Washington license plate. Perhaps taken at Golden Gardens Park, Seattle.

i think it looks prtty cool..well not really, but i give him major kudos for trying something new

it the gaurds and the doors met up even it would lke nice ha

oi that green one looks wicked.. panel work would be a bit of a pain in the front end but jesus it looks cool... who else can say they have one like it. i love the colour of it too.
