Im sure it would be cheaper to modify some existing and cheap
corvette springs. Ive seen them on ebay for cheap and would
need the flex-a-form bushing style and someone with a good
electric hacksaw.

I know i know its 3 years old, but with the dollar as strong as it is, surely its time for such a project?????
I know i have seen a set of leaf springs lowered and reset for $4-500 locally.
Is $400 odd really that much?

I would like to know how do you come up with all the required measurements on 30 year old springs, when you also want to get them lowered.

The corvette monoleaf holds up a 3000 pound car... how will you modify it for a 1600 pound car?

Its a good point cracka to bring it up with the $ value.
I once got burned by a SOB scum bag resetting my leafs
and saying he used xy poly for the deteriorated rubber
which I later found out it was BS. He charged $450 all
up but the car rides beautifully and can only imagine
how much better it would ride with poly insted of the orig
45yr old bits and some nice dual way oil shockers.

Get on the site and put in the measurements you need and
have them with like 2 degree bow, I prefer flat but with
the slight bend it will be stronger and last longer.

Reviving an old thread here, Did anyone get some of these made? Im wanting to put some on my circuit car and Im a little reluctant to spend that sort of money without some positive feedback.
I also dont know what spring rate and arch i`ll end up using. I dont want to endup getting more than one set made.

I supose the alternative is to make them.

Does anyone have them on a 1200?

Thought i'd chime in here as I used to own a corvette.

There is NO WAY you could use a vette spring, it is all wrong dimentionally and in design principle due to it been used transversally. I'm sure you could make anything work with enough of the right skills and knowledge. But these springs are actually allot more complicated than just some fibreglass layed in the shape of a spring. They are a complex and diverse mix and lay of a number of composite materials/resins and features.

Trust me, it would be easier or at least no extra work to have them custom made.

If you want to know more. your best bet is to try Vette brakes and products in the states. They make custom springs for certain Vette applications, however I think you would find they would be either unable to help you in this circumstance or the cost WILL scare you away.
