Hi guys & Girls been a while since I have been on here.
I took the GTR for a run at Oran Park grand prix circuit as its closing down later this year
Not as much fun as the Ca18det 1200 but still very fast run a 1.25 with brake and hicas issues Need to replace clutch with new power (301rwkw)slips with any more than 280rwkw so low boost and yokie semislicks was all I could run on the day they got a few good pictures of her .. Unfortunatly I spun it backwards into a concrete wall coming onto the straight low speed and bumps hicas a bit dodgey. I plan on fixing a bit of stuff soon. Its been more reliable than the 1200 but still having issues on track days. Shame they are so complex and hard/expensive to work on.
When work slows a bit and funds permit im looking at building a track only car as the gtr is fun and fast but deciding on making more track worthy or a nice road car is a hard decision.
Thinking of building maybe a RB26 silvia or Z car even an older skyline with Rb would be pretty cool.

This is the one car I regret selling. Good action shots Andrew! Hope the damage isn't bad?

Have you fitted offset bushes or adjustable traction/radius arms to the rear yet?

btw, I ran 1:24.9 there in my Supra :P I sold that thing about a month ago as well

I have a mate down here in Melb who has a very well sorted 240Z RB26DETT runs 1:20 flat at Sandown Raceway, he would be happy to give you some advice if you get keen.

Thanks Harry the damage isnt too bad I have a second hand rear bar and frame lined up.I kissed the rear passenger side rear at low speed the hicas has been playing up with low speed and bumps. I have bought a hicas lock and plan on doing a bit of rear susspension upgrading once funds permit.I have to replace a few tierod ends and rear wheel bearing a couple of bushes ect. I also plan on doing a bit more work brake wise as after about 3 laps they where fading pretty bad. The race pads I bought for wakefield track day 12 months ago dissapeared so the stocko pads couldnt cope very well. Once I have suspension sorted new twin plate clutch installed and a bit more boost will be pretty quick and fun around the track.

Thanks Mildman if i find a car to build at the right price ill give you a yell.

Levey I think the R32's have the best shape of all the GTRs its a really nice car to drive I drove it a round trip of 500km plus around 80km of track duties never missed a beat bloody thirsty on the track used a 3/4 tank at the track and only half tank 250km on road.
