hey just a quick question, when shortening a r31 skyline diff do you just get it made to the same length as the original datsun diff? would anyone be able to tell me how long this is? how much roughly would it cost?
i have to get mine done next week!
thanks in advance!

The measurements I used are if you want the R31 diff 10mm wider each side compared to the stock diff.

drivers side axle tube gets cut down 50mm

passengers side axle tube gets cut down 85mm

long axle gets cut down 135mm

then short axle is the new long side. DONT CUT THE SHORT AXLE.

best to take your standard diff in with the skyline diff and get them to match the mounts and lenth

you can get them to make it wider if you want your wheels too fill the gaurds but this can be a no no with rta
