Do you think I should check the Datsun's radiator coolant level? It's been a few months since I last checked.

* Seattle forecast tomorrow is for absolute all time record temp.

* It was 40° in Portland, Oregon yesterday (record for July 27).

* Today it was 36°C/96°F at my house. The Datsun ran great this morning, needed no time to warm up. But tonight after working it ran rich on the choke for the first minute (too hot for the auto choke).

48! I would say "i don't believe it" but I have been in that temp (118F) twice in Northern California (Bay Area).

It seems like there was more traffic today than usual. I wondered if people were driving their air-conditioned cars because the house is too hot. Few people in Seattle have A/C at home.

Maybe they were all driving to air-conditioned restaurants, shopping malls and movie theatres. The TV news reported something like that.

Too bad Datsuns don't have A/C...

I decided to do some landscaping work today at a Seattle property, kinda stupid considering its the hottest day on record, my thermometer in my Van said 102 F on Cap hill today @ 2:35PM so i decided to go home to my air conditioned house

when i built the house i traded the built in vacuum system for an AC system instead, aah the luxury, its so cool sitting here at my computer right now!

hey, someone said Datogal (think thats right) has AC in her coupe? what system is that, stock aftermarket, ?

Yay, it broke the all time record today by three degrees! Got to 103° F (39° C).

With the AC on full blast in my house it is a toasty 83°.

can you still get it from Nissan as an option for older cars? 1200 & 210 series? cant here, I checked on the 210 the other day.

Oh yeah, David - that makes you & me one of the 15% in King Co. who have AC in there homes, aah so lucky!

you guys are lucky, when it tops 40 here, so many people have a/c that areas have black outs currently. Lack of infrastructure and massive urban sprawl tend to do that.

Can you still get A/C from Nissan as an option for older cars? No. It was a dealer option, not a Nissan factory option. But maybe you can get it from Nissan Parts Business, Japan as the 1994 Sunny Trucks had it.

But it is a simple thing, the interior parts just fit under the dash. One from an older Toyota could be made to work. Several in US have come up for sale right here on this site.

Member 'nomore' will probably sell you an A/C setup.
