Got 120y BW68 diff in me 1200 sedan with stanza 4 speed and stanza L16. Motor and box are in mounted but 120y Auto tail shaft is like an inch and a quarter to long. Any advice or other options Please ? If anything motor needs to go down a bit more and back but that will add to the drama obviously.

Should but doesnt. The stumpy 5 speed box i have is near exactly the distance shorter that i need it to be but no L housing to bolt on to it. So this conversion may get the sack in exchange for an SR20 with stumpy box convo.

I ran a stock auto shaft in mine. It worked with both the R30 box and the stanza 5 banger. Is your box the 660mm box (stumpy) or the longer box? My engine was sitting about 25mm from the firewall. although 120Y but they are ll the same distance wise in that respect.

so your saying that the stanza 4 speed is longer than an L series stumpy?

think it would probably be a bit easier to get an L series bellhousing than it would be to redo the conversion....not like they are really rare or even hard to find

Yes its an inch and a bit longer but the stumpy here has the Ca bell housing on it. So o.k probably been here before but what L bell housing options do i have to bolt on to the Stumpy ?. L's Bells

any 71 series 5 speed bellhousing, which is pretty much all L series 5 speeds apart from the sss stanza one or 180b sss box
