i'll have to check he bov, im pretty sure its not wooshing at idle, what i meant was i felt like one of those guys in a shopping centre carpark, with the bov going off every time i lifted my foot off the accelarator even when i was only reaching low revs

If you recirculate it generally it won't pssshhht (it may flutter), but in general turbos make noise, so you will have to live with it. But you'd be used to noisy cars having webers and all.

Yeah BOV's can go off at low pressures as you gotta think of say 5PSI rushing out a little hole it's gonna make a noise, depends on how loud but

i wasnt too worried bout the sound i just thought maybe it wasnt set properly, anyway

next question, i have been pressuning that the low psi pump is stuffed, because it used to make 2psi but now it only makes .5psi, but is it possible that the needle and seat are stuffed in the carb and the pressure it just being dumped into the carbie?

it is hard to check because the carbie is boxed but its just a thought i had, i think the high psi pump still makes high pressure but this could be because it flows so hgh anyway?

im not sure any thoughts?? i will check it out tommorow anyway

When I had the blow off valve in the system I could only get 7 psi out of it, I found no benifit having it in the system so thats why I removed it and blocked of the hole.
Why dont you set it up like I had it where I had a fuel pressure regulator just before the carby and off boost the regulator would regulate pressure down to 4 psi, but as soon as it came on boost a fuel soloniod would open up and bypass the regulator shooting fuel pressure to 14 psi, it used to work very well and was cheap(only one fuel pump) and simple. I had a holley blue and used the reg off it.

oh crap

i couldnt remember exactly how you had it, but i pressumed it was similar to how i have it now,

that sounds bloody good, i guess i should have kept trying to ring you,

i should have all the t-pieces and stuff i need, ill just need to get a solonoid

actually if you could explain the process of adjusting the boost again that would be great, i know its those threads on the turbo actuator, but how do i tell if they are blowing the same psi, which way i have to turn it and how much?, oh and is there like a certain amount of revs i should stick below or is just a case of as far as im willing to push it?

beutiful my dad just pulled out a solenoid which is brand new, hes had it for 10years though

im setting it up that way, just gotta figure out what im supposed to connect to all the diffrent hose fittings on my regulator

Ill go to my mates place today and use his scanner and draw up a diagram then post it up at lunch time
As for adjusting the boost, I had measured the length of the rods and made them the same.
The shorter the rod the more boost

dude i set up the fuel system like you said yesterday and took it for a drive last night

IT FLYS, i cant believe an internally stock 1200 could go so fast!

gotta swap the water pump (leaky)

but it also idles at like 3000rpm, and when it warms up it idles at over 4000rpm!

the spring doesnt seem strong enough but also the bolt seems to bind in the thread, did you grease it up or anything, what did it idle at for you?
