So I got my trims back + my dash. = ]] seats need another couple of weeks. spewin about it.

So I have also decided to paint it a nice "go fast red" sorta colour. Original plan was to be gun metal grey, but with my interior being so dark, i thought it would look weird.

dude you have a great start to a ute ey.. aslong as you take your time and not hurry too much with it she will be fine.. atm i am slowly but surely getting all the nitty gritty parts together.. and i am on the tightest of tight budgets.. but as long as it gets there and it keeps ya out of trouble then thats all that matters dude.

Got my quote for the respray. $1500, in a Volkswagen ROBINROT red. Its the middle slot. Sorry about the poor quality of the photo.

Now I am having a very hard time deciding which set of wheels to buy. These are going to be next after the paint job.

Then after I have wheels I will work on getting suspension and brakes up to date. I think it has had the struts from a later model 120Y put in, so I'll get some nice discs on there. Also what options have I got for the back end? Can you buy newer drum brakes that will do a better job? Or is there no point, and only upgrade when I can afford to put discs on?

With the inside of the tray, I am thinking of getting the painter to spray a thick layer of stoneguard in the back to give it a bit more wearability. What does everyone think of that idea?

Thats enough for now I think. Will be stripping it out to a rolling shell over the next week, should be good. Cant wait till its painted!!!

Becoming nude very quickly. Rushing to get it stripped out. Are there any tricks that you need to know when removing the engine? Like those situations where its like; oh, damn that would of been nice to know, would of saved me 20mins.

Will get you some photos of it completely stripped.
