Been alittle while but time for an update. Grinding off all the brackets that come on the R31 diff was a bit of a mission, went through about 3 or 4 cutting blades and 2 or 3 grinding blades. Anyway got it looking good for the cut down which is happening now, should get it back in a week or so. Then I'll take it to get the internals overhauled and reco'd if needed, better doing it now than 2 weeks after the first burn out. After that it's off to the powdercoater. Need to also get my hands on some handbrake cables/brackets as well. Spent sometime cleaning up the garage and now have the CA up on the engine stand in early stages of stripping it down for its rebuild. With such a tight space it is getting more and more important to be organised - well alittle bit organised. Splashed out and got myself a nice new set of sidchrome sockets!!
Just focusing on getting the drive line and brakes all sorted then I will be getting stuck into the engine. Only put 6 months of rego on the ute for now to see if I will take it off the road in FEB to complete the transplant - we will see. I will also have to start getting stuck into some body work as the rust just seems to get bigger and worse by the day! Real shame about the Datto's!
