okay so, i went for a drive in my car the other day and gave it hell, for the first time.
and it was so much fun, but, the car does sorta feel really nice around corners and im abit worried about the suspension components.
is there any cheap mods i can do to stiffen her up abit, can i get a rear sway bar of some sort or something of the such?

yeah i use a dunnydore 19mm rear bar, but didnt notice much difference!! but using a 120y front bar and some 350lbs (came in a cheap coilover kit) made a huge improvement..

the best improvement i found for the rear was two spare wheels in the tray, it stoped me from lifting rear wheels..

are you running a panhard bar at the back? that's the next step i'm looking at along with a locker and some real stiff shocks. lowering it makes a pretty big difference along with some camber, castor and toe out to stop the understeer. if you go some real stiff spring try and match them with some good stiff shock absorbers, otherwise it'll just bounce everywhere like most lowered cars.
so what's it doing at the moment? just starting to run wide and understeer? wallowing a bit? have you locked the diff? the more specifics you give the more likely people will be able to help you
also semi slicks make a huge difference, and if you're running 13's they're cheap as chips.

nah i dont have a panhard rod, would i have to get some custom fabbing done, or does someone make a bolt in kit, i have had the springs reset 2 inches in the rear, maybe 2.5 cant remember though, diffs still open, is the 120y sway bar a direct swap? i have 14's also, which need new tyres too, had them for five years.
i cant really say what it was doing, i wasnt taking to much notice, but i took the coners pretty hard and got a fair amount of body roll, and it felt really loose, there was a loss of traction, but when counter steering it didnt feel like the car was coming with the wheels as quickly as it should, dunno if that will help, might just make your minds &^$%&$&^&*ed up haha

Personally I will start with a thicker sway bar in front and stiffer springs.

It all depends on what you want to do with it, if it is a daily drive a rear sway bar will also help. If you will be doing a lot of hard slow speed cornering with a rear sway bar installed it may start unloading the rear inside wheel.

and yes the 120y sway bar is direct bolt in, use all the 1200 bolts, washers and bushes but use the 2 D shape bushes fron the 120y. just check that you have clearence between the sway bar and sump as it can get a bit tight, i had to massage the lower edge a little for clearence.

yeah i dont want to lock the diff yet cus i dont want to have to buy a new center for it, also, whats the going rate for some stiffer springs for the 120y shocks, also, how can i see if my car has got a 120y sway bar cus my dad got a 120y "front end" and bolted that in before i was too interested in cars, so im not sure if i would have it already. thanks guys

measure the thickness of the sway bar, 120y ones are 19 or 20mm i think

king springs may be stiffer, or get some 200b rear springs and cut them to sure(they are stiffer and the right diameter but are too long)

soo 200b rears for the front?
and, ill measure my swaybar tomoz, just had a shower and i smell nice
