no idea on the actual size of the mazda boxes, but when ANGE did his 12a conversion he welded a bigger tunnel in to accomodate the gearbox
im a big fan of new trans tunnels, and the stock ones are tiny and i doubt would have enough clearance to pass engineers with a larger box in them

i have a s2 box in mine tunnel needs a little beating though im goin s4 box n bigger tunnel now
