datsun 1000 info needed

hey datto gurus just wondering when i bought my 1000 2 door sedan the guy said but he wasnt sure that because when the car originally came out it only had seatbelts in the front so now i can register it as a 4 seater without putting seatbelts in the back?
also while im here just wondering if anybody has a set of tailights in good condition mine wont be good enough to pass rwc thanks jarryd

pre 1969 no belts 1969 front seat belts and no rears then 1970 all seat belts :)
i think thats right wat year do u have and if its got a bigger motor it ( a12 ) might have to have seat belts all round :)

mines a 67 an it has an a10 so that means no rear belt but i can still legally take 4 people?

yes you can legally take 4 people.. mine is a 69 and i only have the front 2 seatbelts.. awesome little cars they are.. it would be handy to have the extra seatbelts but if i remember correctly reading the forums here they need to be certified and all of those other stupid restrictions... so yeah it will only need the fron 2 seatbelts.

yours are for a cope Joel, he's after sedan ones,
setbelts didn't become ADR till 69 so they are optional on early ones, in WA they are keen for you to have them in anyway.. not sure I have nay short early ones left, but I'll look.. You can view topic.
