I've used wire brushes before, in a hand drill. Get all the dirt & loose paint off, then hit it with a coat of Chassis Black paint. Comes up looking like new, with the added bonus that the inspector doesn't look too hard at the car, because everythings obviously new. All smoke & mirrors, I agree, but it also makes the car look much nicer.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.
