1200's have macpherson struts
dropped spindles are used with A arm suspension

? drop spindles?

as in the type that mini truckers use, that is compatable with double A arm type front ends?

to get the same affect with a 1200s front end just get lowered springs and come bump steer spacers. this will make the stub axle higher and the car lower whilst keeping the control arms in the same position

EDIT, geez daz way to just sneak in with the short answer

torsion bars are the springs in most double A arm setups
completely different to what 1200s have

in 1200s you have coil springs...get lowered springs and that will lower your car
