project tt update: new manifold required

just when i thought all was well and i could start using it as a daily driver again...
a crack appears in the exhaust manifold, between head and turbo, i almost cried i think its cause the exhaust was against the firewall and a dodgey engine mount meant that the twist of the motor stressed the piping too much i also think cause i have a late ute crossmember my engine sits a little back form stock, hence exhaust touches im going to see if a guy i know can get another manifold made up (this time it will have enough clearance for an oval port inlet manifold, i.e. a-15), that way i can skip the issues the current a-12 has and use the a-15 which is better anyway, will be used as carby until i have enough money to setup the injection properly but yeah im bloody dissapointed, it was so close, and i ignored the exhaust hitting thinking it wouldnt really do any damage, dammit!

Get the manifold made out of thick-walled steam-pipe otherwise it will crack every time, just from the weight of the turbo and the vibration. Either that or make up brackets to support the turbo's weight.
So, how does this thing go anyway????

mate it flys
cant believe an internally stock 1200 could drive like that i beat a r31 skyline and a s14 (200sx) silvia couldnt get away from me, blew away a laser (possibly with cracked exhaust ) twice and he just pulled in behind me the third timebut thats all ive really played with, havent driven it much really actually its amazing how it accelerates but even more so how it pulls even from 120kmh onwards to god knows what yet, 160+ anyway its still making too much bost, as at 6000+ revs there is a loud whoosing from the BOV as it is releasing all my beautifull boost , but im having issues with adjusting the actuators, there doesnt seem to be enough adjustment in themanyway it may be an a-15 when it returns, and itll be a whole new experience keep ya's updated obviously, maybe even better picies this time

mate, if you don't know how much boost it is running then get a guage.
And make sure you get it to a dyno, so you can check the A/F ratios....i'd hate to see ya blow it up And, where are these pics??

there are pics in my profile, i will post on em cause it seems they slipped through without anyone seeing?
um, i have a gauge but im saying i get to 10psi and the turbos still want to make more, but between lack of fuel pressure and the BOV leaking they cant, not that i want them too if that makse sense You can view topic.
