I,m with Fandatstick on sidys going out of tune mysteriously,it,s total rubbish unless someone has been fiddling!
I've never had the need to touch a side draft once it has been set up correctly on a dyno until such time as engine mods have been made from the original set up.

On the GX SU,s you seek i have a pair on a genuine manifold you can have for $6000.00 and i'll throw in the car as well

Is it absolutely necessary to have GX carbs? Why not just use a nice 32/36 weber or similar? Or even a single 40 or even 45DCOE or dellorto? Have you seen the prices of what people want for a twin set up these days and what people are paying? Over $1K that's for sure. I have a redline manifold here for a single DCOE (bought from Clyons) and a 45DCOE13 on a Lynx L series manifold. I'll sell you the lot for $500. There is an air filter assy too.

Or be sneaky like I used to. Get an old holden 6 cylinder air cleaner lid on top of a speco 9 inch air filter base and element on top of a 32/36 weber.

Well a question I want to bring forward. If you buy a single 45DCOE, what sort of power increase over that is a twin setup going to have? For money>power which is really going to be better?

Hi guys. Sorry to hijack this thread. Just a question.
I have a complete Hitachi SU setup including the following:
Genuine Hitachi SU airbox.
SU intake manifold.
Complete Hitachi SU carb setup with links and everything.

What is a good price I can get for this setup? This was on a genuine GX engine.

I remember you asking this ages ago:

What is the value of a genuine GX intake and exhaust setup?

GX carburetor prices have settled down again but heads and exhaust manifolds are still pretty sought after.

Why don't you just list an EOI on the items and see what offers you get?

yeah i dont really need the gx carbs but i thought being the gx edition they would be a better power output?
and to revhead001: will that 45dcoe fit the a series manifold that you have?
im hopefully going to mota carb on friday and having a chat with the boys there and get there two bobs worth, apparently they had or have a killer a14 rally/sprint coupe
so im guessing its a good place to start
thanks for your help so far guys, keep the ideas coming
