How much do you reckon it would cost to get the synchro redone?

I know more about Brain surgery than Gearbox surgery
but
If you can do the Labour youself , a WILD guess would be $100-$200

If you go to a Gearbox specialist I expect it would be double or more

Synchro's can still be bought new for $105 trade price genuine nissan. Any guy worth his salt won't pull it apart without changing the 5 main bearings. I'd put up a price of what I would charge for the job but I don't want to scare anybody.

Don I'm sure Mick would say something like your picture in the mugshot thread already did that :P Then you'd offer to check out his gearbox and , ah anyway it beats my first attemp at a gearbox cos that poor chunk is missing heaps of bits now.

I blows my mind how much these sell for in OZ! In fact thanks to you blokes happliy paying so much, the price here has skyrocketed also. I know a few peeps who have sold their gearboxes to Aussies. I used to get them for $150 all the time. now you're lucky to get them for double that!
