fark me you 2 sound like women i think you should take your argument somewhere else the guy just wants to know about putting a rotary into his ute and personally i don't think it can be that hard its only got three moving parts for #OOPS# and when the engine is a bare block there simple as #OOPS# to work around. My biggest drama was the headers and ground clearance but i just ran my primaries to the rear firewall then into a 3in system with 2 custom mufflers which cost around 600 and it does the job, if you want photo's of how i done mine just pm i know its not the same car but they can't be that different

hmmm one eyed nissan/datsun owners love their motors ay?

Have you read your sig recently? I'm guessing this is not the first time youve had this kind or argument.

There there it will be okay.

I know you feel you have to stick up for elemental_funk because he's your "roto-bro" but seriously man I think he will make up his own mind.

im not one minded to rotaries. i appreciate any style car with time and effort put into it. im just not a sheep. ive never before this thread spoken a word to my " ROTA BRO" or as you call it

i was told with my car i couldnt do it and would never get mod plated blah blah blah. the guys asked for some tips.
ive posted what i could do to help him. there has been a few other with tips but mostly negative coments. ive just stated my facts and backed them up.

pretty much any other datto i have respect for. even ca18det.

im not the one who started the rotary vs ca18det pre school crap.

and as for sticking up for anyone. i guess you feel you need to stick up for your piston powered buddies. but there there it will be alright.

us rota boys love our motors.

Yep.... thats pretty much what I thought.

I put "roto-bro" in inverted commas to indicate that this was likely very far from the case. You just seem real defensive on this whole topic.

All I was saying is that your sig indicates a general disdain for anything non rotary, and the vitriol you have been throwing smacks of that same attitude.

Indeed you have provided assistance to a fellow club member and you should be commended. Honestly.

But you have also been fairly offensive with your language.

That will just get you the same sort of response.

So thanks for the words of consolation, I do hate to see needless flaming of people with intelligent info to contribute and from the sounds of things that includes you.

at the end of the day it still has the datsun badge on the front. it doesnt matter if you have a sr20 or a 13b you have still modified the car to your own specs and your own expresion of interests. the topic started because a guy wanted to mod a car to his own spec. ive just stuck up for his spec as a few bagged it. ppl get defensive when they get called one minded nissan/ datsun drivers. as i get defensive over ppl say you cant put a rotor in a datsun. so at the end of the day what am i guilty over. im a member of a datsun enthusiast club to talk about datsuns

Well, at the end of the day, this is a community of datto enthusiasts.

Like all communities this one has its own way of doing things and its own respected elders.

So I guess you just need a little time to pick up the social rules of this community, who the elders are, and how to get along in that communal way.

That sounds condescending as all hell I know, but its true (as I see it anyway) and there's no other way to say it really.

This is a great little place to hang out.

Lets enjoy it eh!

Here's a rotary one, was around in the 90's I believe but I have never heard anything about it, looks tough though!! The same workshop also built a green 13BT 1200 Ute which was briefly shown in the Serious Performance 4 video. That's about all I know or can guess lol.

And here's a thread to the 1000 Wagon if people are wondering which one is being talked about.

Woah this escalated quickly. That ute looks to be a pretty hardcore, nice find.
The idea of the rotary came from wanting more power easily from an engine that would fit. 12a being carburetted means i dont have to mess about with computers and having good stock hp too. It really does seem like an ideal swap and if i ever get the dough its what i will be going for
