wheel offset to suit datsun 1200 ute

hey guys,

im looking at getting some small 13's or 14's
what offset am i looking for, for a 7inch wide rim? is +38 ok??

also whats best tyre size want something pritty low profile?

pritty sure +38 is to high usally your safe with low to mid +20s but i could be wrong i havnt played with 1200s just 1600s

get like 165 or 155 or something at 50 or 55 profile so they have some stretch, usually will alow abit better gaurd clearance and looks rad too
thats what im going to do anyway

55 series are fairly harsh for a street 1200. I recommend 60 series, you will get sharper handling than stock, and a better ride than 55s.

If you are racing it is a different story.

For example, for the rear tires:
185/60R-13
Fairly inexpensive too.

For the front you could go with:
175/70R-13
As long as you keep power on around corners, a stock 1200 will handle well with this combination.

165/65R-13 are readily available, but I suspect the wider 175 is better even if a little higher profile.

I'm running 15x7 +10 offset on fronts and 15x7 +2 offset on rears. rubs alittle at full lock but i have stock struts and no camber tops so...

I'm running Volk mesh got them in japan has nice dish offset is perfect and doesn't hang out at all suprisingly, i thought I would have to pump the guards out abit but nope that only means I can have deeper dish! With pumped guards with possibly 15x7 -2 offset only if I'm able to find a set, took me awhile to find these. I'll try to find a pic
