arvo all datto'ites
well after 2 geminis 2 escorts a turbo 4wd laser and a baleno I have surcum to the datto charm...I have just picked up a smik 1980 sunny with only 190000 k's on the clock, came with mags, saas wheel, great cd stereo and a super powerful 1200cc motor..(sarcasm is a strong point)
at this stage its purely a cheap runabout and a means to get my girlfriend her liscence, but soon enough i have big mod plans, I'm thinking a nice street sleeper, make it look like a mild car, but have a beast under the bonnet....
have fun all!
chuck!

the 4wd laser turbo was a very fun car.
nothing more enjoyable then blowing away the commodore boys in a 1.6 or power drifting through corners
But unfortunatley they are expensive to repair and have many things that go wrong with them, like blown heads, pnuematic ride height control suspension that leaks. The other problem is lack of parts or listings at any suppliers.
Would say they are a great car, but would only recommend them to someone with deep pockets.
Chuck...
ps.s me thinks the L28 would be a little too large....thinking more 1.8 or 2l turbo'd donk for my little pocket rocket.
