Nah Datski, not buying Dazza's as I want to build something different. But will keep the coupe at this stage.

Building a new diff for the rear. Using a BW78 with a 3.89 centre, R31 rear brakes, custom handbrake setup and a ford ally diff cover. Should be better than the 4.3 BW68 in the car at the moment. Going to finish the housing before xmas and get some axles re-slined next year to suit.

Hey old_school your coupe looks great , just got a quick question are your speedo and tacho vdo gauges as they look really neat , you dont have part numbers for them? . Also do the standard battery, oil pressure gauges work with the ca conversion or is that why you have extra gauges in the centre console

Dat82 The speedo is available in 80, 85 and 90mm in diameter. Not sure if the tacho is available in same size options. Cant find part number. Just the instructions. Yes they are VDO units.

The electric speedo works of the stock CA sender and can be setup easily and 100% acurate.

Stock 1200 has no volts or oil pressure gauges which is why the extra gauges were installed. Have retained the factory warning lights though.

Though I would post up the process of the BW78 (R31 Skyline) Diff conversion. And the costs. Will update this as I go.

Nissan Pintara R31 Brakes - $60.00
Nissan Skyline Diff 3.89 ratio - $50.00 (Minus Brakes)
New Brake pads - $30.00
New Rotors $58.00 each @ Repco
Loctite - $8.00
Rubber Grease - $15.00 (For calipers)
Shortening and re-spline of long axle - $160
Hand brake cables - $310 This one hurt the wallet

Stripped the calipers and washed them out with degreaser. Have re-used the rubber seals as these were OK, but have re-assembled with Rubber Grease. Putting these calipers back together can be a pain, but the link below was helpful. Have cleaned up and painted calipers so these are ready to go.

Have prepped the ends for the axle housing where the brakes bolt on. Need to cut the housung tubes to the correct length and re-weld it together. Waiting on some pipe to slip inside the tube before I fully weld it, but looks like wont get this before xmas.

Skyline brake info
