I have 2 120y tailshafts for sale. 1 is a jap spec, the other a oz spec. The items are located in Camden, NSW. The difference is 1 has a round end the other a square end. Not too sure on price, so if you are interested give me a price and we can take it from there.

can anyone verify if either of these will fit a 1200 ute '81 model, 4 speed, with a h165

It depends on the length and spline. If it is a 4 speed 120Y BW tailshaft, then it should fit a 1200 with ute diff. If it is auto then it will not suit the 56a manual. The Jap spec will not suit your 1200 ute unless you have a H145 or H150.

1981 1200 ute has H165 diff.

The Japan built 120Y (1974) is for H145 won't fit.
The Japan built 120Y (1975-1978) is H150 and fits H165, probably?

The australia built is for a BW diff.

Yeah the jap H150 tailshaft diff end is the same as H165 i have tried it but it would depend on length. Still got that auto H150 one here pepper just dont get time to fit the manual end to it. Aussie BW one wont fit a H165.
