I wasn't saying everybody on the forum was a tyre kicker, just those whinging about my prices. You guys have taught me a valuable lesson regarding datsun parts, and i thankyou.

Different people do different things to different cars for different reasons. I like using the datsun shells coz they are light weight, and most of the time free or cheap. Which is why i like using them for drag racing. When you have a light little car you don't have to jam a big expensive motor in the front of it, so you can just use something simple but effective. I'm not asking you to like it, but at the end of the day it is my car and i will do with it what i wish. In answer to your question pepper, yes i have started cutting into it, unfortunately i have to cut the firewall to fit the 6 in. I did look at a L24 engine but it was shagged, so i'm sticking to the 250. Was there anything else pepper?

I also included postage anywhere in Australia for that price, which i estimated at $30 therefore i value the cluster at $70 and i still get criticism!
You'd be surprised how many after auction emails i get from people when selling car #OOPS#, wanting it for less money, or want a certain part not the whole item, it #OOPS#ing #OOPS#s me up the wall. Coz usually what people request is such a waste of time for the money i usually say " will not be relisted " or " its going in the bin " so people wont bother me with stupid requests of what they want. Tell me this, do any of you walk into k-mart and say " hang on, thats too dear i'll give you $xxx, that a deal?" , people don't understand the term not negotiable, my auction prices are not negotiable, my prices are what i want or need for them, don't like it don't bid. I dont expect to sell everything i put on ebay, the add for the cluster was 30 cents, so i don't care if i don't sell it. The coupe cost me $70, so i was trying to get my money back for purchasing the car. The reason i would have no hesitation throwing the cluster in the bin is coz I don't need it.

well, with the whole supply and demand argument, actually i can still name my own price where is with k-mart you can go to a competitor. With hard to find parts you sorta got to take what u can get sometimes.
