hi guys ive call a few engineeres and i keep getting the same answer.. a 13b or 12a can not be legal in nsw. what is the out put in one of these things in a 1200 ute. if anyone has info on the other options let me know. if it aint a rotor it aint a motor :)

hmmm, from what i know its about power to weight ratio's in saying that the ACT never had the laws to a few years ago and some 1200's ran around with FJ20 in them

nooooo, its capacity is the killer.
you could have a 300hp a12 and the biggest drama would be the hole in your wallet.

i spoke to a engineer up my way who said a b110 1200 cant have a 13b or 12a, yet a later b210 1200 ute can as they go off the weight of the sedan. the b210 sedan is more than the b110 and can just scrape in with a 12a non turbs
Hope that helps ya. Give him a ring if u want. pretty helpful if ur polite. KEVIN HUMPHREYS LAKESEDGE ENGINEERING (02) 4353 0866 hes on the nsw central coast. I got a 12a with my coupe i was going to put in it, but ended up ditchin the rotor idea and now goin crazy a14/a15

I have had 2 RX2 coupes and 1 RX2 sedan all with 13B's and a few worked A15's in Datsun 1000's, a worked A series can easily provide you with 130 HP if thats what you want (mine had lots more) for way less hassle than you are going to get going down the rotary path.
If its ultimate power you want you cant go past a CA conversion, its legal and its all been done many times before, it will leave all but the most over the top rotarys for dead, it will have a much greater life expectancy and use half the fuel. You can view topic.
