well the a12 rods are 11.5mm shorter apparently, so it seems you may need to deck the block more? but that would meen a wors rod/stroke ratio for high RPMs, but good for torque or turbo?

I don't know of anyone who's tried this conversion. We can only guess what is required.

78mm piston? sounds like a plan when this A14 needs another rebuild

i'm planning to do so..i've read somewhere in this forum (i forgot which thread ..) where they do rebore to 78mm using RB's piston..

i do know that this conversions is not a problem if doing it with the standard A14/15 block and using its conrod..

but if,using a shorter conrod (A12) this mean that i'll lose my CC's instead of gaining it..am i right?and does it seems possible to do so with A12 conrod?

i'm running out of an idea..

rod length has nothing to do with CC's its the crank(stoke) and bore that decide this.

If there's no problem when using the A14 conrod, and you have an A14 block and crank...why do you want to use A12 rods???
