Hi Guys

As a new standard we have got emission test for vehicles
Mine also due at next few days, these are the results that has been given to my friend, he got passed it , but this is not a datsun ,do you know what these results mean

HC PPM VOL High idle - 175 Low idel - 361 (limiit 1200) Passed
CO% VOL High idle - 175 Low idel - 361 (limiit 4.500) Passed
CO2% VOL High idle - 14.14 Low idle - 14.45
O2% VOL High idle - 0.820 Low idle - 0.640
Lanmbda High idle - 1.018 Low idle - 1.012

Here in California, we have limits that depend on how old the car is and its weight.
Typically, the newer the car, the lower the limits.

These readings can be used to diagnoss what is wrong with the engine, smog pump, catalitic converter, etc.

Well it is Drive Green so it must be good.

VET limits pre-2007:
CO%: 4.5
HC ppm: 1200
Testing is at idle & 2500 RPM static.

Should be easy to pass, as even a Datsun 1200, older than your car, was 1.5% CO. Those other figures like lambda are recorded, but there is no test to fail.

I have heard of no other place in the world that is testing 1974 vehicles. Even California only tests 1975 and newer vehicles.

Neither date of manufacturer, nor date of registration. Here in USA, everything goes by Model Year.
