I am now looking to upgrade the cam in my A15. (it is standard) I have a DGV web, 4 - 1 extractors + 2 inch system and pulsar electronic ignition (yay!)
I just want a cam to bring these mods to life.. nothing super peaky or fuel guzzling.

what cams have you guys had success with?

get the biggest lumpiest cam you can fit in there :)

my mate has a 270degree cam in his L20b the thing is a monster full race cam but something like that might not suit your mods :) talk to a cam specialist they can specialize one for you :)

Check out the cam maker sites (wade, crow etc).
They have catalogues of their various popular cams with descriptions of performance levels and how they match your current or proposed mods.

Tighe Cams A12-A15 has a very good listing. They're in Brissy, but at least it will give you a better idea of what you're after when talking to local grinders.

I'd be looking at either of their 'fast road' grinds, probably the milder one would be easier to live with than the one that requires the .014" valve clearances - a bit noisy.

Huzzah, the voice of sanity is heard.

A "fast road" cam may not have the rump rump sound at idle that impresses the wankers, & it may not deliver the ultimate top end performance that some people think that they want, but it will provide an engine that can be driven, & will provide strong improvements in the RPM range that most of us see on the street.

You get my YAY for the day.
Chris
P.S.
I checked the link & they offer a nice little selection of cams. I like the fact that they are ground on new blanks as this allows a bigger base circle. I know where i will be shopping for a cam.
