I'm a bit confused?

Check this out...
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270519385301
Please forgive me if I am reading into this the wrong way as one of you may know this person?

but...

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120508095743
24 Dec, 200906:16:30 AEDST Ebay auction ended for this 1200 ute with 12a turbo in sheparton, VIC (7 1/2hrs from Concord) - sold for $6000.00.

22 Jan, 201020:31:22 AEDST Ebay auction started for the same ute, but all of a sudden is now engineered, registered and runs 9's ???
I asked him how he could do all of this in at least a day, (I know he didn't state 'a day' but, that is what I asked him)... and his reply was simply "lots of mates who have good skills to pass everything and anything"...

Maybe you guys that want your datto's legaly running 9's with a 13b could ask for some contacts ?

Maybe this is an Ebay seller to steer clear of ?

Or

Maybe I am wrong and way off track... If this is the case, I sincerly appologize.

How do you figure one day? It appears to have sold Dec. 24. If the work was already done correctly, couldn't he have gotten and engineer's report in the last three weeks?

it doesent actually say in the earlier ad if it was engineered or not, in the second ad it says 'all engineered and rego' till november 2010, so im assuming it was registered and engineered in november 2009.
i cant see the current owner having put 11 months rego on it.
the first ad also points out the flaws with the car and cracks in paint etc... the second ad only blows on about having a 7 second capable engine in it.

thirdly, what engine actually comes with the car, there are 2 pics of different engines, both not even in a datto engine bay!!

seems odd to me.

Yes very true, and the thread title was a bit misleading on my part... I actually made the mistake of reading one of the edits he had made on 23rd Jan and taking it from there.

Once again I will stress that I may be way off and I do appologize if so...

But it still sounds dodgy and the reply's to questions sound dodgy too. I have been burnt before and I would hate for another Datsun fan to suffer.

Q: Hi mate, how were you able to get a 13b engineered in a 1200 ute. Cause i thought N/A is 3 times weight of the car and force induction is 2.5 times the weight of the car. And a 13b is recorded as a 2.6L so even a 13b natrally... Continue reading
